A recent article by nycontractors.org named Scordio Construction one of the best general contractors in New York. Specifically, our Tribeca Loft property was honored as one of the finest in New York in the over $6 million dollar category.
This accomplishment was realized through the exquisite design of architect Kirk Lehman of AML Architecture.
The property has been accumulating a lot of prestigious press over the past year. It has been featured in publications such as the New York Times, Curbed, Business Insider and realtor.com – lauded as potentially one of the most expensive apartments ever sold in downtown NYC.
According to Zillow.com, it is currently listed at $52,750,000.00. A far departure from its 2011 purchase price of $17 million. The owners spent four years renovating the 8,000 square feet penthouse with our firm. The one of a kind property features bespoke interiors that include;
“Dinesen oak for floors and paneling, Statuary marble from Italy’s Carrara region for the bathrooms, and honed black granite and tiles from Franz Mayer of Germany for the kitchen”www.nytimes.com, “A Soho Triplex On The Market For 65 Million
We are incredibly proud of the project and created a 3d animated video of it. The video features a renovation effect where you see the project transform from pre-construction to post-construction before your eyes. This was produced during construction prior to the completion of the project.
Another Prestigious Accolade
In September we were notified that the International Design and Architecture Awards had nominated our 10 Madison Avenue Park property as an international finalist in the Interior Design Scheme – Americas 2019 category. The International Design and Architecture Awards are hosted by Design Et Al, a leading UK interior design magazine. The categories cover the residential sector architecture, interior design, and product designs from around the world.
The Madison Avenue property, submitted by the interior designers at Foley and Cox, had beat out over 400 other submissions in order to land as a top 12 project nominee! Although the project did not take home the grand prize, it was in 2nd place in its category-leading up to the award ceremony event at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday, September 20th. It is an event that attracts over 700 industry-leading architects, builders, and interior designers.
The evaluation process is unique since it is judged exclusively by industry peers rather than a panel of judges. It was incredible for 10 Madison Avenue to be recognized alongside some of the most exclusive projects in the world. Above all, to be in the company of such distinguished builders, architects and designers is truly an honor.
